Katie & Gage – Ohio Statehouse Wedding

Katie & Gage got married on a very hot summer day. The sun was out and everyone was smiling. Katie & Gage are from Ohio but live in North Carolina, so they decided to incorporate a little of the south, the beach, and Ohio into their big day. Bringing in southern style BBQ was a personal favorite.

The day started out at the beautiful stone church ofSt. Margaret. There they said their vows among all their family and friends. After the church, we headed to The Ohio Statehouse. We almost didn’t get photos outside due to their being protests on the yard earlier that morning. Thankfully everyone had cleared and we got some amazing photos! We may have had to sneak inside a few times so we wouldn’t overheat, but everyone held out!

The reception inside the Statehouse was simply stunning. Katie and Gag’es choice of Cobalt Blue really stood out among all the marble! katie had a wildflower theme for all her florals and all the different colors really brought the reception to life. Katie also DIY’d a lot of her wedding! My favorite might be the hand-painted “Mr. & Mrs.” signs that hung behind her chairs.

It really was an amazing wedding.
