Fall Engagement on the Water
I recently took to Instagram to decide what type of photos I should blog next. The people voted and decided and engagement/couples session should be next! I couldn’t have agreed more. I knew exactly what session I wanted to blog. Even though we are in the middle of a beautiful blooming spring, I wanted to share one of my favorite fall engagement sessions. Also, Rachel and Steve are my ext wedding coming up. They opted to Elope on their original date instead of having a large wedding as originally planned. My heart feels for all my couples who have had to reschedule their wedding, or, like Rachel and Steve, have a drastically different day than they originally planned. I am so thankful my couples have taken everything that’s come at them with grace and positivity and I am still lucky to be able to capture their days for them whether I am the only guest or it’s going to be in 2021.
Rachel and Steve knew they wanted their photos at the same park they got engaged. Which was fine by me because I had been dying to shoot at the beach at Alum Creek! We started on the beachside and took some fun photos. We talked pretty much the whole time. Then we headed to the other side of the creek to the docks and walked to the spot where Steve actually proposed! It was so sweet. After we took some photos on the water we could tell that the sunset was going to be pretty amazing, so we just hung out on the rocks and waited for it to set. It was a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful evening. And now I just have to wait for a couple more weeks and I get to be with them again while they elope!
