Romantic and Neutral Wedding Inspiration
Last year I had the dream to 1. Learn more about different aspects of photography. 2. Work with some wedding vendors I have long admired and wanted to work with. And 3. Photograph some really pretty styled shoots. This day was a culmination of all three of those dreams. A romantic and neutral wedding inspiration.
When I first came up with this idea I reached out to Meridith with Auburn + Ivory. I had LONG admired her designs and work and I knew I would LOVE anything she put together for me. Also first on the list was Katie with Old Slate Farm. She’s since become such a good friend and literally everything she creates is magic. When they both agreed to join in I knew I was going to be photographing something gorgeous.
I knew I wanted to learn how to shoot on film this past year so that was another reason I wanted to photograph more styled shoots. There I could have the freedom to go at my own pace while working with a new medium without the pressure of actual clients. I used an old Pentax medium format camera and shot 5 rolls of fuji film. I shot a lot of digitals as well, but these photos here are ALL my favorite film images from the day. I still have a LOT to learn to hone into my own personal film style, but I am so happy and love how soft and romantic it all turned out!
