In honor of Evie and Jason hitting their one year anniversary this past week I am posting some photos of one of my favorite weddings to date. I had submitted this wedding to a few sites online so I was hesitant to share many photos. Now a year later it is safe to share the beautiful photos from Evie and Jason’s Colorado Mountain Wedding.
Here a few words from Evie herself!
“Even though we are native Texans, my husband and I are both in love with Colorado. Because we both grew up going to Colorado with our families, the mountains for us were nostalgic, dreamy and romantic. When we got engaged, we started joking about getting married on the side of a mountain. Dreams quickly became a reality, and in July, after climbing some mountains and living out of backpacks, we got married in our favorite place.
We found a lodge that could house all of our guests! We got to eat, play, and run around with all of our friends and family the day before and the day of our wedding. So many people came from all over to see us commit our lives to each other. The setting was so intimate and peaceful, just the way I wanted my wedding. I also wanted every aspect of my wedding to be unique and personal. I wanted all of my friends and family to be involved. My mom even let me wear her dress (after we re-designed it!).
It was a magical day that I will never forget, and I’m so thankful that Ashley Terry documented it for us!!”
Each little detail was so perfect and unique it definitely earned it’s place as one of my favorite weddings.
